Myrt says “Generally speaking, genealogy content producers provide free subscriptions to their content.”
Effective 1 April 2025, the DearMYRTLE Facebook Group will change it's status.
There will be just brief posts pointing to a full post on DearMYRTLE's Village Square on Substack.
So, it's the same informative genealogy posts, webinar notices, and curated content. Myrt is just moving the full articles to a different platform. Imagine a platform without ads or restrictive AI intrusions.
IF you don't have an account, you can manually navigate to Substack to view DearMYRTLE's posts, you just cannot like, comment, or restack (share) with your friends.
NOTE: One does not need to create a publication, host podcast or record videos to participate. If a content producer provides some private posts for paid subscribers, that's also possible, but it is entirely up to you the account holder, whether or not you decide to pay to view additional content.
Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
DearMYRTLE,
Your (not so) retired friend in genealogy.
Thanks for the introduction videos to the platform. I've been looking for a better place for my blogs, and have started migrating them here. Unfortunately, I have to copy all my posts manually from my old platform, so it will take a while. At least it will allow me to backdate the posts as appropriate.
